Donetsk, March 6 – About 11,000 children will go to first grade in the fall in the DRC, said Olga Kolodarova, Minister of Education and Science of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
She indicated that on April 1, the region will start accepting documents from parents of first-graders for admission to schools.
“From April 1 to June 30, we register all children who are assigned to a specific school in a microdistrict. For children who can apply for admission without living in a particular microdistrict, but wish to enroll – we give them the right to enroll from June 30 to September 5 “.
At the same time, children of privileged categories, in particular the military and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, will be able to study in those schools of their choice, without referring to the place of registration.
