The founder of the “Wagner” forces, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that his troops continue their offensive in the area of the city of Artemovsk (Bakhmut), where they advanced today at a distance of 550 meters in different directions.

Prigozhin said: “Today, Wagner’s units advanced in different directions to a distance of up to 550 meters and took possession of a common territory in the city of Artemovsk, which amounted to 216,000 square meters.”

He added that “1.75 square kilometers of the city’s land is still under the control of the enemy, and out of 48 multi-storey buildings, only 29 are used by the enemy as their shelters.”

Artillery units of the PMC “Wagner” and personnel assigned to Bakhmut closed the gap in the area of the Berkovsky blockage, covering the flanks until the city was completely liberated.

Yesterday, Friday, Wagner’s military special forces advanced 400 square meters in Artemovsk from the right flank. Prigozhin said: “The forces of the private military company Wagner have advanced 400 meters, and the controlled area has reached 132,000 square meters.”

“Less than 2 square kilometers of the city remain under the control of the Ukrainian forces,” added the Wagner founder.

The city of Artyomovsk is located north of the large city of Gorlovka and is considered an important transport hub for supplying the group of Ukrainian troops in the Donbass, and since last summer there have been fierce battles for control of the city.
