Al-Ittihad Jeddah Tries to Sign Liverpool Star with Help from Karim Benzema
Recently, there have been reports that Al-Ittihad Jeddah, a Saudi Arabian football club, is interested in signing a player from Liverpool, a top English club. The team is using the presence of Karim Benzema, a well-known player, to convince the Liverpool star to join them during the current summer transfer period.
Al-Ittihad Jeddah is determined to make one or two new signings before the transfer window closes. Their goal is to strengthen the team and compete for titles such as the Roshen Saudi Pro League, Saudi Arabian Premier League, Asian Champions League, and World Club Championship.
Interest in Liverpool Defender Ibrahima Konate
According to French network RMC Sport, Ittihad Jeddah has reached out to Ibrahima Konate, a defender from Liverpool’s first team, with the intention of bringing him to their squad for the remainder of the summer transfer season.
Initially, the club approached another player, Todibo from Nice, but he declined the transfer. As a result, the management turned to Ibrahima Konate as their next target.
In an effort to sway Konate, Al-Ittihad Jeddah used Karim Benzema’s influence and sought his opinion on joining the team. However, it seems that Konate is content with his current situation at Liverpool and is fully focused on his career with the English club and the French national team.
