Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice Chairman Fawad Chaudhry announced the kidnapping of former Pakistani Prime Minister and party leader Imran Khan.
Chaudhry tweeted: “Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was abducted from the courthouse, dozens of lawyers and ordinary people were tortured, and Imran Khan was taken away to an unknown destination.”
Tehreek-e-Insaf posted a video clip on its official Twitter page of lawyer Imran Khan being beaten and “seriously injured” outside the Islamabad High Court.
Earlier today, GEO announced the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. She said his detention came after a trial in Islamabad’s Supreme Court over the embezzlement of the Al-Qadir Trust, noting that Khan tried to secure his release on bail in several criminal cases against him during the trial.
