Moroccan club Raja Sports announced the team’s encouraging death ahead of the 0-0 win over Egyptian guest Al Ahli last Saturday night in the second leg of the quarter-final round of the African Champions League competition.

Al Rajaa Sports Club, through its official Facebook account, mourned a cheerleader named Noora and Al Rajaa Board Chairman Aziz Al-Badrawi, with members of the club expressing “deep grief over the loss of a member of the Rajavi family.”

And reports in the Moroccan press said that the cheerleader died in close proximity to the Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca, as a result of a stampede and a large crowd at one of the gates of the stadium, where the match between the two teams took place.

Raja Sports Club said goodbye to the CAF Champions League after a goalless draw against Al Ahli on Saturday night and a first leg defeat with two unanswered goals at the International Stadium in Cairo.
