Moscow, March 15 – A naked activist boycotted singer Avril Lavigne’s performance at the 52nd Juno Awards in Canada, reports PageSix.
An unknown woman ran out onto the stage and took off her top. The phrases “Save the Greenbelt” and “Return the Earth” were written on the activist’s body with a black marker (“Save the Greenbelt and Return the Earth” – approx. ed.).
The post notes that subsequent footage has surfaced on the web showing Lavigne chasing the activist off stage. However, she refused to do so. One of the security guards removed the violator of public order from the hall.
According to media reports, a topless woman has opposed Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s decision to build buildings on a protected green space.
Avril Lavigne won the People’s Choice Award at the Juno Awards in Edmonton.
