Beijing offers Egypt to grow Chinese rice in the desert

Chinese Ambassador to Cairo Liao Lichang said his country is committed to strengthening its strategic and economic partnership with Egypt during 2023 to form a major economic power in the region.

This happened during a meeting of the Association of Egyptian Businessmen with Chinese Ambassador to Cairo Liao Lichan, which discussed the promotion of joint investment between Egypt and China.

The Chinese ambassador said his country is ready to cooperate with Egypt on the automotive industry and the cultivation of drought-tolerant Chinese rice in the Western Desert, a plan that was put forward during a meeting with Agriculture Minister Al Sayyed Al Qusayr. a few days ago.

Lichang added that Chinese President Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, is committed to strengthening relations with countries in the Middle East.

The Chinese Ambassador to Cairo said that China’s population reaches $1.4 billion, which is a huge market, more attractive to foreign investors, China provides good investment opportunities and will continue to protect the global economic system and maintain the prosperity of partner countries.
