Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema of France has reportedly turned down an invitation he recently received from his compatriot Didier Deschamps, coach of the France national football team.

According to French network Telefoot, Deschamps has invited goalkeepers Hugo Lloris and Steve Mandanda, defender Raphael Varane and striker Blaise Matuidi, and Karim Benzema to attend France’s match against the Netherlands next Friday to honor their memory.

The French network indicated that Benzema would not accept an invitation to attend the match due to strained relations with the Petukhov national team coach.

A few days ago, Deschamps said that Karim Benzema left the French camp for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar at his own request after his injury.

But Benzema provoked the crisis again by refuting the French coach’s claims and ridiculing him on his official social media accounts.
