Bitmain Launches Campus Recruitment Program for New Talent

Bitmain, a cryptocurrency chip manufacturer, has recently started a campus recruitment process to discover and attract new talent. The company is specifically interested in recruiting talented PhD candidates in thermal power, machinery, electrical engineering, materials science, and related fields as part of this initiative.

Opportunities for Graduates with Master’s Degrees

Bitmain is seeking to hire 24 graduates with at least a Master’s degree, both domestically and internationally. As an incentive, they are offering free accommodation in a dormitory for three years or reduced rent. This recruitment drive is not limited to China, as it also includes locations such as Singapore, Malaysia, and the United States.

Potential Acquisition of Basic Scientific

Bitmain recently announced its plans to potentially acquire Basic Scientific, the second-largest publicly listed bitcoin miner, in collaboration with crypto platform Anchorage Digital. Basic Scientific has faced financial difficulties due to declining revenue and the drop in Bitcoin prices. However, it is important to note that the status of this acquisition is still pending, and there have been no further updates at this time.

Participation in the World Digital Mining Summit 2023

In addition, Bitmain co-hosted the World Digital Mining Summit 2023 (WDMS 2023) in Hong Kong from September 22-23, 2023. The summit focused on the topic of “Mining for the Next Bull Market”.
