Today, Haaland worked off his goal-scoring habit and hit Burnley’s goal, scoring three goals wide of goalkeeper Stefan Ortega for his first hat-trick in the competition and his sixth this season for Manchester City.

With this major victory, Manchester City advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament.

And according to statistics website Opta, Haaland became the sixth player in the English Premier League to score over 40 goals in all competitions in a single season.

Haaland beat Mohamed Salah and was close to Crushing His historic number with Liverpool

Egypt international Mohamed Salah of Liverpool is one of those players and he excelled in his first season with the Reds 2017-2018 with 44 goals and thus Haaland is close to breaking the historic achieving the Red Stars in his first seasons with Manchester City and in the English Premier League.

And Norway’s Haaland is just two goals away from equaling Mohamed Salah and Van Nistelrooy as the highest scoring player with the English team in various competitions in the same season.

Van Nistelrooy scored 44 goals in the 2002-2003 season and Salah equaled him in the 2017-2018 season.

Cristiano Ronaldo: 42 goals in the 2007-2008 season.
Cole: 41 goals in 1993-1994.

Erling Haaland: 42 goals in the 2022-2023 season.
