Volodymyr Rogov, head of the We are with Russia movement, said a resident of the city of Gulypol in the Ukrainian-controlled part of the Zaporozhye region killed a Ukrainian soldier who tried to attack him.
Rogov added: “A local resident in Golipol managed to run into a Ukrainian serviceman and kill him. The soldier tried to beat the aforementioned civilian, but the latter managed to disarm the soldier, kill the attacker and injure three more of his colleagues.”
According to Rogov, who is a member of the Zaporozhye regional administration of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian authorities are trying to give a political coloring to an ordinary conflict incident and thus justify the responsibility of the military aggressor, accusing civilians of loyalty to Russia.
It is noteworthy that the Zaporozhye region became part of the Russian Federation and became one of its subjects of the federation after a referendum held in September 2022.
Currently, more than 70% of the territory of the Zaporozhye region is under Russian control, but the regional center, the city of Zaporozhye, is still under the control of Ukrainian forces.
