Klopp reveals truth about Mohamed Salah leaving Liverpool
Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has said he has no concerns about Mohamed Salah’s future at the club despite losing the Champions League next season.
Salah tweeted his disappointment after Manchester United’s 4-1 win over Chelsea last Thursday, confirming his team will be out of the Champions League for the first time in seven seasons next season.
I am completely devastated. There are absolutely no excuses for this. We had everything we needed to get to next yearChampions League and us failed. We are Liverpool and qualifying To competition it’s minimum. sorry but this is too much soon for uplifting or optimistic… rice.twitter.com/qZmA9WsueM

Last summer, Salah signed a new three-year contract that he said was “absolutely devastating” and “there is absolutely no excuse for it.”
Klopp said: “I couldn’t read anything that would lead to Salah leaving. Mo clearly enjoys being here and Mo was a part of it, all right.
He added: “If a player came up to me and said, ‘We didn’t qualify for the Champions League, I have to leave,’ I would take him to another club myself. I took the key and said: “Get in the car, where do you want to go?” I’ll take you. It would be something I never understood. It’s like saying: “We didn’t qualify for the Champions League and I have to work on the Champions League, so you can’t go out at such moments.”
He noted: “It’s not like that at all with Salah and no one asked me again. They ask me if they can take a longer holiday, but no one asked me if they should return after the holiday. It wasn’t in our conversations.”
Klopp denied that Liverpool considered the Europa League a “prize bomb” after reaching three Champions League finals in front of him and insisted the team would do everything possible to win next year’s final in Dublin.
Mohamed Salah and the dream of participating in the Champions League
Salah has been accustomed to playing with Liverpool in the Champions League since joining Anfield Castle in the summer of 2017, where he has appeared in the all-important competition six times, won the title once and lost twice in the final.
However, Salah will not be able to participate in the Champions League in the new 2023-2024 season, as he will be content with playing in the Europa League, which is the least important.
Liverpool have achieved to finish their season in fifth place in the English Premier League table, regardless of the results of the last round of matches, which will take place tomorrow, Sunday.
Salah expressed sadness and grief after failing to qualify for the Champions League for the first time with Liverpool.
Failed to qualify for the Champions League
It looks like Mohamed Salah’s dream of winning his second Champions League title will be put on hold until at least the 2024-25 season.
Salah achieved the continental podium for the first time in his career at Liverpool in the 2018–2019 season.
The Egyptian player lost the title twice in the final round, in the 2017-2018 and 2021-2022 seasons, against Real Madrid both times.
