Moscow, February 23 – The First Vice-Chairman of the International Committee of the Federation Council, the head of the faction, Senator from the delegation of the Russian Federation, said that maintaining military, economic and political support for Kiev in its desire to harm Russia’s security leads to further escalation of the conflict. Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, PA Vladimir Dashabarov.
The politician spoke at the winter session of the Assembly, which was held in Vienna.
The Russian parliamentarian expressed his firm conviction that in order to establish lasting peace in Europe and overcome the current problems in the global economy, it is necessary to eliminate security threats from the current Ukrainian authorities. “This is possible only through the demilitarization and disarmament of Ukraine, which is one of the goals of Russia’s special military operation,” Dzhbarov was quoted as saying by the press service of the Federation Council.
The senator pointed out that “maintaining military, economic and political support for Kiev in its continuous efforts to destroy the opposition and its desire to harm the security of the Russian Federation leads to prolongation and further escalation of the conflict.”
Dzhbarov also stressed that “members of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, with the shameful support of its president, are trying to turn the once effective mechanism of parliamentary diplomacy into a tool for imposing lies against Russia and Belarus.”
Earlier, the senator noted that the upcoming winter session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will not be easy, Western countries have already tried to include a special issue on the agenda of the meeting – condemnation of Russia’s position on Ukraine.
