Earthquake of Magnitude 5.6 Hits Off Coast of Philippines

The European and Mediterranean Seismological Center reported that an earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale struck off the coast of the Philippines.

The Center indicated on Thursday morning that the quake’s epicenter was in the Philippine Sea, 66 kilometers north of the city of Claveria, north of the Philippine island of Luzon.

The outpost was at a depth of 40 km.

It should be noted that the population of the aforementioned city and its environs is about 32 thousand people, according to 2020 statistics.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties caused by the earthquake.
