Member of the board of directors of the Egyptian Football Association, Ihab El-Komi, revealed the salary of the new head of the refereeing committee of the federation, Vitor Pereira.

Al-Kumi said in television statements, “Pereira’s salary is $18,000 a month, which is less than Mark Clattenburg (the former head of the committee) was earning.”

He added: “The contract with Pereira is important for the development of the arbitration system, and Hazem Imam (a member of the Egyptian federation) negotiated with him and convinced him to head the referee committee.”

He said: “Portuguese Roy Vitoria (coach of the Egyptian national team) in the conclusion of the contract with Pereira plays a consultant role, and he confirmed that he is known and can add to the refereeing committee.”

A member of the board of directors of the Egyptian Federation added: “We had a lot of resumes ahead of us, but that of the Portuguese Vitor Pereira is by far the strongest.”
