Manchester United settled their position with their Spanish guest Barcelona and advanced to the final eight of the Europa League, beating them 2–1 in the second leg of the play-offs.
And after getting used to the lights of the Champions League, which brought them to the final twice in 2009 and 2011 when Barcelona emerged victorious, the two giants ended up in a fight for a qualifying card to the Europa League final price. The Catalan club are third in their group in the Champions League, while United are second in their group in the Europa League.
The first leg of this match ended in a 2-2 draw, so the decision will be made on Thursday at Old Trafford, Manchester United’s stronghold.
Barcelona took the lead first thanks to a Robert Lewandowski penalty in the 18th minute before Manchester United cleared the delay and won with two goals signed by the Brazilians Fred and Anthony in the 47th and 73rd minutes.
