Annual inflation in the euro area last month recorded a higher value than expected by experts, despite the decrease in inflation in February compared to January.

According to Eurostat, annual inflation in the euro area, according to preliminary estimates, slowed down in February to 8.5% from 8.6% in the previous month.

The result of February last year (8.5%) was contrary to the expectations of analysts, who indicated 8.2%, according to a survey conducted by the DailyFX portal.
