Moscow, February 28 – Experts told how much it would cost to travel to Sri Lanka for the May and summer holidays, ATOR reports.
Aeroflot has extended the flight program from Moscow to Colombo for the summer season. Tours are announced twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. Until March 26, the carrier operates three flights a week – also on Tuesdays.
In the summer schedule, departure from Sheremetyevo was scheduled at 22:50, and arrival in Colombo at 10:20 the next day. Travel time is 8 hours 30 minutes. Return flight on Friday and Sunday at 12:20, arrival in Russia at 18:55. Travel time is 9 hours 35 minutes. The flights will be operated by Airbus A330-300.
A ticket without baggage with departure on April 30 and return on May 8 will cost 59.3 thousand rubles. With a suitcase – at least ten thousand rubles more expensive. For comparison, the cost of a flight with a transfer by Jazeera Airways is 55.4 thousand rubles.
In June, an Aeroflot flight to Sri Lanka will be even cheaper: prices without baggage start at 47,000 rubles in both directions, with baggage – from 56,000 rubles. With a connection, a flight to Colombo can be booked for 50 thousand rubles.
In July and August, the minimum tariff will increase by at least five thousand rubles.
With a high degree of probability, tour operators will not extend the programs of flights to Sri Lanka for the summer, ATOR experts predict. The last departures of tour operators are scheduled for the end of April. In fact, in the summer, most of the planes that can fly abroad will take tourists to Turkey.
