Syrian President Bashar al-Assad issued a decree providing for the payment of a one-time financial grant of 150,000 Syrian pounds to all employed and retired people in the state.

The grant, which is exempt from income tax on wages, salaries and any other deductions, applies to all permanent, contract and temporary workers in Syrian territory, civilians and military personnel, as well as recruits in the army and armed forces.

This also includes military and civilian pensioners, as well as pensioners’ beneficiaries, pensioners with partial disability who are not employed and do not receive a pension from any other insurance organization.
