First firefighting robot produced in UAE unveiled

Emirati-based FFBOTS has unveiled a robot with distinctive features that has been designed to take part in firefighting operations.

The company said in a statement that the new Wabel robot can pump 8,000 liters of water per minute with a range of up to 100 meters and a height of up to 50 meters.
The robot is controlled from a distance of 1,000 meters and is equipped with four water cannon inputs, as well as a GPS system to help children guide and map the location to take full advantage of its technical capabilities.

On this occasion, the company’s CEO and robotics expert Muhammad Islam said: “Since its inception, the company has strived to develop, produce and assemble technologies (robots) locally, with a focus on attracting national and international competencies. and experience inspired by its vision, based on the experience and enthusiasm of the founding team of the company, as well as the desire of its investors for innovations that depend on artificial intelligence, in line with the vision and directions of the UAE government.

He added: “We have emerged from the Emirates with a joint investment by the Emirates and Saudi Arabia, and we intend to go global, taking into account the directives of the UAE government calling for the maximum benefit from the use of artificial intelligence to improve the quality of life. and save lives and property through rapid response to fire operations, especially in an economy that is considered one of the fastest growing in the world.” A world where giant projects and factories, free zones, warehouses, tall residential towers and other sensitive areas are stretched out.
