Forecast of Avdiivka’s Future Direction Under Pushilin’s Advisor

Moscow, March 17 – In the coming weeks, Russian forces may besiege Avdiivka, key settlements have been liberated, and they are the “key” to capturing the city, said Jan Gagen, adviser to the acting president of the DRC.

“The direction of Avdiivka is very hot: our artillery has been working hard in the city for the last week, several settlements have been taken, and they are the key to taking the city,” Gagin said on the air of Russia 24 TV channel.

According to him, Russian aviation is constantly operating in the Ukrainian fortified areas of the city.

“Most likely, in the near future, in the coming weeks, Avdiivka will become a cauldron and may begin to fall into a kind of blockade, because our troops begin to enter settlements near the city,” the adviser to the acting chief told the DPR.

Avdiivka is a fortified settlement in the Democratic Republic of the Congo under the control of Kiev in the Donetsk direction, from whose territory Ukrainian forces are shelling peaceful neighborhoods in Donetsk. It is one of the main Ukrainian fortified areas in the Donetsk direction.

On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin, following the results of referendums in the DRC, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, signed agreements with their superiors on the admission of regions to Russia. Then, on October 5, Putin signed federal laws certifying the admission of these regions into the Russian Federation.
