Abu Bakr spoke during statements on Canal Plus about his conversation with Madeira Rocket, saying: “Ronaldo spoke to me and asked me to stay and not leave, but I told him no, I would leave for family reasons.”
And the Cameroonian striker continued: “Ronaldo asked me about the whereabouts of my family and I told him that they are in France and therefore I prefer to go to Turkey because it is closer to them and he told me that it is better if your the family is really far away, as things have become more complicated.”
Abu Bakr also confirmed that he became angry after French coach Rudy Garcia, the current coach of Al-Nasr, told him that after the arrival of Ronaldo, one of the foreign players should be abandoned, be it him or the Uzbek Jalaluddin Masharipov.
