Norwegian international striker Erling Haaland led his Manchester City team to a difficult and valuable victory at the expense of host Crystal Palace (1-0) on Saturday in the 27th round of the English Premier League.

Halland scored the only goal of the match from a penalty in the 78th minute.

Haaland increased his tally to 28 goals, cementing his lead in the Premier League top scorers.

Manchester City also picked up three valuable points to lift their tally to 61 and finish second in the standings, two points behind leaders Arsenal and one match down from leaders Arsenal.

Crystal Palace’s balance sheet stopped at 27 points, finishing in 12th place.
