IGN.com compares Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo 7 in new video
IGN.com recently released a video comparing the technical aspects of Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo 7, two popular racing games exclusive to Xbox and PlayStation, respectively.
Different development methods for graphics
The video reveals that Turn 10 and Polyphony Digital, the developers behind Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo 7, used different approaches to showcase the positive aspects of their games’ graphics.
In Forza Motorsport, the lighting is less vibrant compared to Gran Turismo 7. However, it utilizes ray tracing technology during actual racing, which enhances the realism. In contrast, the PlayStation exclusive version of Gran Turismo 7 does not fully leverage ray tracing.
Due to the focus on ray tracing, Turn 10 had to compromise on the quality of other on-screen elements, resulting in slightly less impressive visuals compared to Gran Turismo 7.
Impressive reflections in Xbox exclusive
Despite the differences, both games excel in the technical department and deliver satisfying visuals. In the Xbox exclusive version of Forza Motorsport, the reflections are particularly noteworthy and create a more immersive experience.
