Jay’s Brick Blog was the first to break the news about the new Lego kits, later confirmed by the official Sonic Twitter account. On the sets are Sonic, Amy, and Tails and the archenemy of the Blue Blur, Doctor Eggman, who is conspicuously omitted from the official promotional video and appears to be okay with this omission.

The year before last marked Sonic’s debut as an official Lego figure with the release of a set that depicted the character during his prime on the Sega Genesis. On the other hand, that was supposed to be a collector’s piece that could be exhibited. The trailer takes on a humorous tone, making it quite clear that the purpose of these brand-new sets is to entertain younger children.

The Speed Sphere Challenge set sends Sonic hurtling through an arch and down a ramp. Concurrently, the Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge is a recreation of Sonic’s well-known level. This challenge aims to achieve a high enough speed to carry the blue hedgehog through the loop and ring post. This incredible collection contains a whopping 802 individual pieces. Seems like a fun afternoon.

Tails, Sonic’s loyal sidekick, appears in the other sets, both of which take place at Tails’s workshop, which houses his Tornado plane. The ensemble is completed by Amy Rose’s sanctuary, home to three different creatures besides a Badnick.

The Greenhill Zone Loop Challenge costs $99.99, making it the most pricey collection component. The Speed Sphere Challenge costs only $34.99, a significant discount compared to similar products. Tail’s Workshop and Tornado Plane may be purchased for $39.99, while Amy’s Animal Rescue Island can be purchased for $49.99. August is the month that will see the release of all four sets this year.
