Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Italy Antonio Taiani said that he intends to raise the issue of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant during the G7 meeting in Japan.

On Thursday, Taianye called International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi.

“We support the work of the International Atomic Energy Agency to ensure the safety of nuclear plants in Ukraine,” Tayani wrote on Twitter after the call.

Earlier, Italy called for the creation of a safe zone around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

Earlier, Tayani said that the peace process in Ukraine could begin with agreements to ensure the safety of the aforementioned station.

In turn, the Russian delegate to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, considered that there are still chances for reaching an agreement on ensuring the security of the Zaporizhzhya railway station, but they are not great.
