French star Karim Benzema sent a strong message to Ittihad Jeddah fans after officially joining the team today, Tuesday 6 June 2023.
The French star joined the ranks of the dean for a period of 3 years, that is, until 2026, moving from the Spanish Real Madrid.

Benzema said in press statements after joining Al Ittihad Jeddah: “I am very excited to experience a new football league in another country. Al Ittihad Club has an incredible history, passionate fans and big ambitions in football to have more power in Asia after winning the league.
He continued: “I have been fortunate to achieve incredible results in my career and win as much as possible in Spain and Europe and now I feel it is time for a challenge and a new project and whenever I visit Saudi Arabia I feel the warmth and fans love.
And he continued: “For me, this is a new challenge, a new life, and I can’t wait to start training.
And he added: “I will do everything in my power to win more titles, score more goals, show my talent and please the fans, the club, the president, everyone here.
He continued: “It’s a good league and there are a lot of good players in it. Cristiano Ronaldo is already there, a friend who shows that Saudi Arabia is starting to get ahead of them and I’m here to win like they won in Europe and I’m looking forward to meeting you in Jeddah.
He concluded: “I am really looking forward to joining my new teammates and together helping them take this great club and football in Saudi Arabia to new heights.
