Napoli broke the title of “old lady” Juventus, which lasted 9 years in a row, after becoming champions of the Italian league again.
Napoli won the Scudetto title after a 1-1 draw with hosts Udinese in a match that brought them together on Thursday at the Stadio Frioli on matchday 33 of the Italian league.
This title is the third in the history of Naples and the first since 1990 in the era of Argentine legend Diego Maradona.
After the match ended and Napoli won the title, Juventus congratulated their opponent with a message that was ironic.

Juventus wrote via their official Twitter account: “With the many compliments we’ve received over the years, we couldn’t help but congratulate Napoli on their third Scudetto victory!”
And the Italian website Totomercato Web claimed that Juventus sent their congratulations to Napoli with a message that carries some irony, given that Juventus during their 9th successive title coronation did not receive congratulations from their opponents.
Notably, Napoli officially won the title with 5 rounds to go, following in the footsteps of Inter and Juventus in 2007 and 2019.
