Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba, a player of the Al-Ahly club, commented on the crowning of the Egyptian super genie at the expense of the Pyramids Club.
The Red Genie captured the Egyptian Super Cup title for the second time in a row and for the thirteenth time in their history after defeating the Pyramids with an unanswered goal by Ali Maaloula.
And he managed to achieve a super title in the last year after defeating his traditional rival Zamalek.
First comment from Kahraba after Al Ahli won the Egyptian Super Cup against the Pyramids
Kahraba spoke through Abu Dhabi Sports after the end of the Super Cup, saying “I was very optimistic about reaching the Egyptian Super Cup and thank God our Lord compensated me for the last period and I was able to contribute to the penalty and win.”
He continued his speech by saying, “I struggled a lot during my absence from Al Ahli and my goal was to come back stronger.”
And he continued in his address to the fans: “I thank all the Al Ahli players, the technical staff and the fans for their support during the difficult period that I have gone through.”
He added: “I had no fear that I would come back stronger with Al Ahly. I was ‘starving for football’ and ‘dying’ in training so as not to let down the Al Ahly fans who supported me.
And he continued: “I thank Koller for his trust in me since my return and for helping me come back stronger. Koller created a state of love among all the players.”
He concluded by saying: “It was a difficult match, both teams had a strong match and we are happy with their victory.”
