Pakistan police and a railway spokesman said a massive explosion inside a passenger train while it was in motion killed at least one person and injured eight people in the east of the country.
District Police Chief Mian Mahbub said the blast occurred in the Chichawatni district of the country’s eastern Punjab province, adding that police were trying to determine the type of explosive device that caused the blast as the train moved between Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province in the country’s southwest, and the city of Peshawar in the north. -west.

Babar Ali Raza, spokesman for Pakistan Railways, said there was an explosion on a high-speed passenger train and experts are looking for more details.
He added that the dead and wounded were taken to the nearest hospital.
