Luhansk buries 60 fallen soldiers who bravely defended the LPR

Luhansk, May 18 – The remains of 60 soldiers who defended the Luhansk People’s Republic, and three residents of the city of Popasnaya, for which battles took place in the Donbass in the spring of 2022, were buried Thursday in the suburbs of Luhansk on the territory of the memorial. Complex, according to the News Agency correspondent reports.
“Today we buried the remains of 63 people. For us, of course, they did not lie on earth, but went to heaven… 60 remains of our soldiers and three civilians from the city of Popasnaya,” she added. Adviser to the Acting Head of the Region and Head of the Interdepartmental Working Group on the Search for Graves of Victims of Ukrainian Aggression Anna Soroka.
The military commissar of the LPR Andrey Gubanov said that the remains were evacuated from places where battles took place on the territory of the LPR, including from Popasnaya, Rubizhne and Lisichansk, and work on their identification continues.
“The investigative committee is conducting an internal investigation to identify these individuals,” he told reporters.
The burial took place on the territory of the memorial complex “We will not forget, we will not forgive” in compliance with all military honors.
