Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said on Twitter that Ukraine, Germany and Poland have signed a memorandum of intent to open a Leopard 2 tank maintenance center for Ukrainian forces.
The Minister added: “A meeting of the Tank Alliance took place. I am grateful to my German colleague Boris Pistorius and my Polish colleague Mariusz Blaczak for their continued support for Ukraine. Today we signed a Memorandum of Intent to open a service and repair center. for the main battle tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – “Leopard 2”.
The Ukrainian minister noted that the center will be located on the territory of Poland.
Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced his country’s intention to host a service center for American Abrams tanks in Europe, as well as the production of depleted uranium ammunition for it.
