Makevka targeted with five NATO shells by Ukrainian forces

Donetsk, April 22 – Ukrainian forces fired five 155-mm shells at the Chervonogvardeysky district of Makeyevka, said the DRC’s representative office at the Joint Center for Monitoring and Coordinating War Crimes Cases in Ukraine.
“A fire from the VFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine – Ed. Ed.) was recorded in the direction: 12.40 (coincides with Moscow time. – Ed. Ed.) – Lastochkino settlement – Makeevka settlement (Chervonogvardeisky district): five 155-mm shells. A message from the representative office stated in the statement in his telegram channel.
Makeevka is a city belonging to the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, bordering it to the northeast. In 2014, its population was about 350 thousand people. Chervonogvardeisky district is located in the western part of the city.
NATO countries use 155 mm artillery. The United States supplied Ukraine with long-range 155 mm M777 howitzers, and Ukrainian forces actively use them to bomb the cities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German self-propelled guns PzH 2000, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns with shells of this caliber.
