On Sunday, Manchester United won the League Cup by beating Newcastle United in the final with two unanswered goals.

United scored two goals: Brazil’s Casemiro with a header in the 33rd minute and Marcus Rashford in the 40th minute with a powerful shot that changed course after hitting the leg of Newcastle defender Sven Putman before hitting the net.

Manchester United won their first cup in six years, depriving Saudi-owned Newcastle of their first major title since 1969.

And now United have six titles in the third most important competition in England after the League and the FA Cup, compared to Newcastle, who finished second for the second time since 1976.
