The Rhone club suffered an impressive 3-1 loss to hosts Atalanta in a match that brought them together on Monday night at the end of the 31st round of the Italian Football League.
The hosts’ hat-trick was signed by Croatian midfielder Mario Pasalic, Italian defender Rafael Toloi and Dutch midfielder Theon Kopminers on the scoresheets (39, 74, 84) respectively.
While midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini scored the only goal for the capital of Rome in the 83rd minute of the match, which took place at the Joyes Stadium in Bergamo.
The Atalanta club achieved the first victory after the defeat and went into action, raising their score to 52 points and gaining a foothold in seventh place in the Calcio standings.
While the Roma team under the Portuguese coach José Mourinho suffered their first defeat after 3 victories in a row and stopped their score at 56 points and thus failed to win fourth place from Milan.
