It is added that users will be able to purchase prescription drugs by going to Zdravcity through the Unified Medical Information and Analysis System (EMIAS) application. The site will automatically generate a selection of products with the trade name and the INN according to the purpose.
At the end of March, Sber Eapteka, an online drug sales and delivery service, announced that it had started delivering prescription drugs in Belgorod and its environs as part of a distance-selling experiment, and is also preparing to launch in Moscow and the Moscow region.
Since March, an experiment with the distance sale of medical drugs has begun in the Moscow, Belgorod and Moscow regions, and will continue until March 1, 2026. The list of drugs allowed for distance sale includes 904 universal names – drugs of various therapeutic groups. The list does not include narcotic, psychotropic, potent, toxic drugs, antidepressants, sleeping pills, stimulants and antipsychotics, as well as drugs used to terminate pregnancy.
The press service of the Russian Ministry of Health earlier reported that as part of a trial in three regions of the country, a mechanism will be developed to ensure the remote availability of prescription drugs.
