Penalty for Saudi Arabia Possible After Al-Ittihad Match Win

The Disciplinary Committee of the Football Association of Saudi Arabia has decided to impose sanctions on the Saudi club “Al-Nasr” after the match “Al-Ittihad” in the 20th round of the Saudi League Roshen.

Al-Nasr was defeated by Al-Ittihad at the Radioactive Jewel Stadium, scoring an unanswered Romarinho.

The committee’s statement was as follows: Al-Nasr Club coach/Rudi Garcia did not adhere to the wearing of ID in the stadium, as stated in the match observer’s report, and since the committee issued Operational Decision No. (263/LZ/2023) dated February 13, 2023 AD and entered into force by Decree No. (276 LZ/2023) dated 02/23/2023 AD, therefore this violation is considered a repeated return in accordance with article (40) of the Regulations on discipline and ethics.

The Committee added: “Firstly, it was proven that the coach of the Al-Nasr Club / Rudi Garcia violated article (71-1) of the Disciplinary and Ethical Regulations, and secondly: he ordered the coach of the Al-Nasr Club / Rudi Garcia to pay a fine of (35,000) thirty-five thousand riyals to the account of the Saudi Arabian Football Association. Third: the contested decision in accordance with article (139) of the Regulations on Discipline and Ethics.

And she continued: “The absence of Al-Nasr Club player / Abdul Majid Al-Salihim from the media interview in the zone (Flash Interview) after the end of the match, according to what was stated in the report of the media representative for the match.”

And she added: “Firstly: It is proved that the player of the Al-Nasr club / Abdul-Majid Al-Salihim violated article (63-2) of the Disciplinary and Ethical Regulations, and secondly: coercion of the player of the Al-Nasr club / Abdul Majid Al-Salihim to pay a fine of (20,000) twenty thousand riyals to the account of the Saudi Arabia Football Association, thirdly, a decision not subject to appeal in accordance with article (139) of the Disciplinary and Ethical Regulations.
