Prosecutors in Nanterre, a western suburb of the capital Paris, have opened an investigation into the rape of Paris Saint-Germain defender Ashraf Hakimi, a star of the Moroccan football team.

The investigation was launched following the accusations of a 24-year-old woman who said she was raped at the home of Ashraf Hakimi in Boulogne-Billancourt on February 25, according to Le Parisien, the information was confirmed by an AFP source.

And according to Agence France Presse, the Nanterre prosecutor’s office declined to comment on the matter, complaining about “the information published” in the press because it “undermines the investigations necessary to establish the truth.”

According to the same source familiar with the case, the woman went to the police station in Val-de-Marne on Sunday to report the incident, but did not file a complaint.

It is noteworthy that Ashraf Hakimi was born on November 4, 1998 in Spain, married to the Spanish actress Hebe Abbuk, they have two sons.
