Moscow, May 27 – The Russian military thwarted an attempt to break through the front line of the Ukrainian sabotage-assault group in the direction of Alexander Kalinovsky, Vadim Astafiev, head of the press center of the Southern Group of the Russian Armed Forces, told the News Agency.
“The group’s motorized rifle and artillery units thwarted an attempt to break through the front line of the Ukrainian sabotage and assault group in the direction of Oleksandr Kalinovsky,” he said.
He added that the aviation of the “Southern” group carried out missile and bomb strikes on the point of temporary deployment of the 81st aviation brigade of the Ukrainian army in the direction of Lysishansk, regarding the accumulation of weapons and military equipment for the 24th mechanized brigade. In the Toritsk region, in addition to the accumulation of manpower, reserves and ammunition depots of the 110th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdiivka.
“The crew of the Solntsibek heavy flamethrower system of the radiological, chemical and biological defense unit of the Southern Military District destroyed the stronghold of an enemy detachment near the settlement of Krasnogorovka,” Astafyev added.
