Moscow, April 28 – Roman Chekoshov, director of the International Cooperation and Foreign Trade Licensing Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that the production of aluminum cans in Russia was completely imported within a year.
According to him, at the beginning of last year, about 70% of the total volume of aluminum cans in the country was of American manufacture.
“We replaced imports by 100 percent in … All the aluminum cans on the shelves are now our production,” Chikoshov told Sputnik radio.
Earlier, at the beginning of September last year, Roskachestvo predicted, for example, that the volume of wine produced in aluminum cans would continue to increase and its production in Russia would double by the end of that year.
