The Saudi Arabia Football Association Disciplinary and Ethics Committee has officially decided on the thrilling Riyadh derby between Al Hilal and Al Nasr on 18 April.

The Riyadh derby ended with the victory of Al-Zaim 2:0 in the 25th round of the Saudi Roshan League, but the dispute was not in the loss of Al-Alama.

As the match witnessed a big controversy about the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, the leader of the victory, whether it was his violent intervention, as if he were a wrestler, against the Colombian Gustavo Cuellar, the blue midfielder, or his outrageous act of shame in front of the opponent’s fans, the committee ruled only one penalty against the victory .

The committee decided to fine Al-Alami 15,000 riyals in a non-appealable decision in light of the delay of its players on the field at the beginning of the second half.

A video clip was circulated showing Ronaldo directing an “outward movement” to Al Hilal fans who cheered “Messi… Messi” in the stands in an attempt to draw his ire after the match Al Hilal lost at the hands of Al Nasr with two penalty goals.

A large section of Saudi football fans condemned Ronaldo’s behavior after the match with Al-Hilal, calling on the Discipline and Ethics Committee to impose punishment on the Portuguese star.

It is noteworthy that the committee did not punish Ronaldo for the incident with an obscene movement, as it relied only on footage transmitted by the official TV channel of the matches and did not watch the videos distributed through social networks.
