Security Forces in Kyiv Transporting Arms Disguised as Red Cross Vehicles

A resident of the city of Artyomovsk, who asked not to be named, said that last summer the Ukrainian army transported weapons in vehicles with Red Cross emblems.

In an interview with the Novosti agency, she said: “In the summer, when bread was delivered to us, we constantly went out to the neighboring street, where Ukrainian forces were stationed. I have always resented the complete violation of international humanitarian law. Medical personnel can only use the emblem of the Red Cross with permission, and the Ukrainian military also used it without reason, to transport weapons, they came and unloaded.

She added that she was afraid to reprimand the soldiers, although their behavior was outrageous. And I checked that the transportation of weapons was carried out on military medical and civilian vehicles with Red Cross emblems. And she continued: “White Red Cross vehicles and military vehicles with Red Cross emblems arrived. They unloaded weapons, food and everything they needed.”
