In the FIFA U-20 World Championship currently taking place in Argentina, the Japanese team started with a valuable victory over their Senegalese counterpart (1:0) in the third group matches.

The Japanese samurai owes his victory to his player Crowe Matsuki, who scored his only winning goal ahead of schedule, in the 15th minute of the first half of the match.

The Japanese team scored three match points and is second in the standings of the third group (C), losing on goal difference to their colleague from Colombia, who, in turn, defeated the Israeli team with a score of two: one.
