A source at the National Medical Research Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics (Ilizarov Center) of the Russian Ministry of Health indicates that the center’s specialists have created a unique prosthetic material that can be used to eliminate bone defects.
He says: “The center’s team of specialists and physicians from the Center’s Tissue Culture and Blood Transfusion Department has created a unique Osteolit™ material that can be used to repair bone defects. can be used in all orthopedic, vertebral, purulent surgeries, where it is required to compensate for the lack of bone mass, fill cavities in the bones and spine.
