Bastrykin stressed that international institutions and Western countries ignore what has been happening since 2014, deliberately not noticing the crimes of the Kiev regime against civilians in Donbass.

Since 2014, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has been investigating criminal cases related to crimes committed by the Ukrainian military against residents of Donbass. Investigators are investigating not only cases of killing civilians, but also damage to settlements in the Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

So, in an interview with the News Agency, Bastrykin said on Saturday that since 2014, the Investigative Committee of the RF has opened more than 2.9 thousand criminal cases, in which more than 710 people, including those from the military and political leadership, have become defendants. In addition, more than 126,000 residents of Donbass were identified as victims, and the damage to the DPR and LPR from the crimes of the Ukrainian militants exceeded 228 billion rubles.
