The Japanese Navy Welcomes a Promising Missile Ship

Japanese media reported that the Japanese Navy recently received a new Mogami-class missile ship.

According to available information, a ceremony was held at the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries shipyard dedicated to the transfer of the Mikuma ship, which is the fourth ship of the Mogami family of ships of the modified 30FFM class, to the Japanese army.

And Japanese media have previously indicated that Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is the general contractor for the 30FFM frigate production program developed for the Japanese army, and that Japan should receive 22 ships of this type.

Each of the 30FFM ships is about 132.5 m long, 16.3 m wide, and has a displacement of 5,500 tons. These ships are also equipped with diesel and gas engines, allowing them to move at a speed of 30 knots. .

These ships are armed with 127 mm cannons, Mk.41 rocket launchers, anti-ship missiles with a range of 400 km, 324 mm torpedoes and 12.7 mm machine guns, and are equipped with platforms for helicopters.
