The US consulate in Milan said his official Twitter account was hacked within hours on Monday morning after unidentified individuals posted a Ukrainian flag with a Nazi flag behind it.

The official account of the US Consulate in Milan has been published on Twitter. tweet It said: “The consulate’s (Twitter) account was attacked by unknown individuals who unauthorizedly altered its content. The issue was immediately resolved and we are now working to find out the cause of the intrusion and who is behind it. .”

The consulate’s official account posted a photo of a Ukrainian flag hiding the Nazi flag behind it, followed by a series of anti-regime tweets in Kyiv.

The account has now been closed with an image with the slogan “United with Ukraine” and the account has returned to normal functioning, the consulate said.
