The head of the Tunisian-African Business Council, Anis Jaziri, said that Tunisia’s orientation towards the BRICS group is not easy and requires hard work.

In an interview with Radio Mosaique on Wednesday, he added: “Yes, to the Chinese and African markets, but we can’t forget the most important market for Tunisia, the European market.”

Anis Al-Jaziri explained that 75 percent of trade exchanges are on the European side.

In this regard, he stressed that expanding exports and directing them to China and Africa does not mean abandoning Europe.

Tunisia’s 25 July track spokesman Mahmoud Ben Mabrouk said that Tunisia would not continue its efforts to secure an International Monetary Fund loan and would join and approach the BRICS group for the necessary funding.
