Tunisian Anas Jaber downgraded her position in the new world ranking of professional tennis players, which was published today, on Monday, as she was ranked 5th in the world.

This decline came after Anas Jaber’s early elimination from the Indian Wells tournament, after she was defeated in the third round by Czech Marketa Vandrosova in two unanswered sets.

Anas scored just 55 points in Indian Wells to make her mark (4976 points) and pave the way for France’s Caroline Garcia to climb to fourth place with (4990 points).

Poland’s Iga Shvontek retained her lead, while Belarusian Arina Sobalenko maintained her second place with 640 points, while American Jessica Pegula remained in third place.

Kazakh Yelena Rybakina capitalized on her Indian Wells title by moving up 3 spots to 7th, while Egyptian Mayar Al-Sharif retained her 52nd position in the world with 1,050 points.
