The British company Flyby Technology has announced the successful testing of its Jackal drone, capable of launching multipurpose guided missiles.
And the company said in a statement on Monday that the aircraft had shown, in a 6-week RAF test, its ability to launch laser-guided Martlet missiles at targets on the ground and in the air up to 6 kilometers away, and at Mach 1.5.
The aforementioned drones are produced in collaboration with the French company Thales at an industrial facility in the British city of Belfast.
The flight range of the aircraft is 130 kilometers, the wingspan is 5 meters, the speed is 108 kilometers per hour. It flies at an altitude of 4,000 meters.
These aircraft can be used to destroy enemy infantry, tanks, drones or helicopters.
